摘要
The Meiling Road built by Zhang Jiuling in Tang Dynasty became the most important road in Nanling. Though the frequent use caused severe damage to the road, the then governments protected it and the trees along it so that it could keep open to the domestic and foreign business interflow. However, Meiling Road began to decline after the five coastal ports were permitted to trade with foreign countries. And thousands of road builders later became the source of the Yang Hong Uprising.
