摘要
形成于20世纪初的现代消费主义文化是西方资本主义消费文化发展的重要阶段和主要表现形式,它的最大特征就是追求炫耀性、奢侈性和时尚性,追求无节制的物质享受和消遣,并以此作为生活目的和人生价值。在现代消费主义文化的形成过程中,现代媒体发挥了重要的作用。现代传播媒体的宣传促进了传统价值观念的解体和新的消费观念与消费方式的形成,本文试图对此进行分析,希望能对中国消费文化的良性建设有所补益。
The paper maintains that the consumer culture that came into being in the early 20th century is characterized by the pursuit of luxury, fashion, material well being, and ease of life, which is considered by some even to be the sole purpose of life, and that modern media has played a vital role in its formation. The paper further analyses in detail the part it plays in deconstructing traditional values and ways of life with the view to benefiting China's consumer culture construction.
