《毛传》与《毛序》的同异比较并论及《毛序》的作者

COMPARISON OF MAO ZHUAN AND MAO XU AND ON THE AUTHOR OF MAO XU

遍检《毛传》与《毛序》,《传》释诗义与《序》释诗义基本相同者达83篇之多,明显相异者只有3篇,且在解释体例上、在内容的相互照顾、相互发明上,都表明《传》与《序》存在内在的联系。从研究唐前所载《毛诗》资料系统入手,认为郑玄所谓"大毛公(亨)为《故训传》",既包括今《毛序》,也包括今《毛传》,《毛序》的形成经历了很长的历史时期,是经累积而成的,最终由大毛公(亨)"编纂而成",并体现出他自己的观点;小毛公(苌)则对《毛传》作了最后的加工、厘定工作,并在《毛诗》的传授中起到重要作用。

According to the whole check of Mao Zhuan and Mao Xu, there are in Shi Jing(The Book of Songs)eightythree poems which are basically the same in their interpretation by both Mao Zhuan and Mao Xu, and only three poems which are obviously different. And there are inner links between Mao Zhuan and Mao Xu from the interpretation regulations,the content's mutual consideration and mutual explanation. On the basis of research of the PreTang materials of Mao Shi, it could be inferred that what Zheng Xuan said that Big Mao Gong(Heng)had written Mao Shi Gu Xun Zhuan embraces both the present Mao Xu and the present Mao Zhuan. As a result of accumulation, the formation of Mao Xu lasted a long historical period and was compiled in the end by Big Mao Gong(Heng)whose opinions were expressed in it. Little Mao Gong(Chang)gave the last treatment and corrections to Mao Zhuan and played an important role in imparting and teaching Mao Shi.
