Analysis of New Global Economic Order: Robert Gilpin' s Ideas on "State-centric" Realism

本文从国际政治经济学角度阐释了罗伯特·吉尔平的“国家中心”现实主义的基本观点,总结了他对全球经济新秩序的基本看法,即全球经济呈现高度一体化和明显脆弱化的双重特征、民族国家在全球经济体系中依然居于主导地位、全球经济管理需要强大的领导和经济大国的合作以及全球经济新秩序的建立必须立足于强有力的政治基础等,并对吉尔平的上述观点做了一些评价。

From the aspect of international political economy, this paper analyzes Robert Gil-pin's key viewpoints on the new global economic order, and summarize his basic i-deas on 'state-centric' realism at the beginning of the new millennium. It includes: the global economy shows its dual characteristics including the high integration and distinct fragility; the nation-state remains the dominant actor in global economic system; the global economic management requires strong leadership of a dominant economic power and cooperation among the major economic powers; and the new global economic order must be established upon strong political foundation.
