Virtual human resource is a new concept of strategic human resource management. This article analyzes the reason why virtual human resource has come into existence from strategic, flexible, efficient and customer-oriented perspectives. A two dimensions structure of virtual human resource is constructed with the considerations of the value and the uniqueness of human resource activities.
