摘要
“意象”是中国传统美学的核心范畴 ,这一概念目前已被广泛地使用于美学、文艺理论及批评中。但现代中国学术的建构以及现代汉语本身实质上是中西文化融合的产物 ,西方理论的翻译构成当下汉语学术的主要资源之一。“意象”在西方理论语境中的对等翻译概念是“image” ;但实际上这两个概念因文化背景的不同具有一定的内涵差异 ;本文通过对image在西方的使用历史的考察 ,揭示出这一差异以及因此差异而显示出的两个概念之间的互补意义 ,为在当下汉语语境中重塑“意象”概念提供比较的视野和内涵的丰富。
Yixiang ' is a key word of Chinese traditional aesthetics, which has been used widely in contemporary aesthetics, the theories and comments of literature and arts. But, the modern learning of China and modern Chinese are in essence the result of the cultural fuse of China and Western. The translation of Western academic works is one of the main resources of present Chinese learning. 'Image' is the reciprocal concept of 'yixiang' in Western academic context. But, in fact, there are some differences in meaning between these two concepts due to cultural background difference. By reviewing the history of 'image' in Western, this thesis showed the differences and the relations between the two concepts, and opened a comparative view for reconstructing and enriching the meaning of the concept 'yixiang' in present Chinese context.
