摘要
本文介绍了皮尔斯(Pearce)元素比值的原理及图解的制作和应用,提出了对皮尔斯元素比值进行定量计算的矢量分析方法,并以夏威夷Kilauea火山熔岩为实例介绍了该方法在岩浆分异演化研究中的应用。
For revealing variable trend of elememts in magmatic evolution, such as fractional crystallization and crystal accumulation, Pearce, T. H. (1968) proposed a quantitative method, i.e. using element ratios between variable elements and constant elements whose absolute contents are constant during magmatic evolution, named Pearec's element ratio (PER).
This paper deals with the theory of PER, its application to petrology, and how to use mineralogical data to calculate PER. The PER digrams and their usage are also described. Here, we mainly propose a new method of PER vector and net difference vector (D vector) and take Kilauea lavas, Hawaii, as an example of Pearcl's applicationin in the research of magmatic evolution.
