摘要
洋务学堂是近代洋务派教育活动的主要内容 ,它开创了中国近代教育之先河 ,传播了西方科学技术和政治学说 ,培养了一批新型的专业技术人才 。
Westernization was the main content of educational activities of those who favoured westernization, which was the earliest page of China's modern education. It influenced China's science, technology and political theory, and fostered groups of new technical personnel in the specific field. It brought an important influence on China's modern society.
