加达默尔以诠释学的理论方法来探讨历史理解的哲学意义,他认为历史理解的过程是主、客体相互规定的过程,理解的对象也是主、客体相互规定的统一体;是理解行为使主体成为主体,因而历史对象是自己和他者的统一体,这就是效果历史。历史认识就是解释者与其解释对象之间的视域融合。
