日本政府与民众对侵华战争道歉的认识

Recognition of the Japanese Government and Public about the Apology for the War with China

在日语中“迷惑”、“反省”和“遗憾”并不表示道歉,只有“御诧”、“谢罪”才真正表示向对方道歉。迄今为止,日本政府在正式文件里就日本军国主义侵略中国,从来没有使用“御诧”或“谢罪”向中国人民道歉过。然而,在日本国内,不少民众甚至学者却都认为日本政府已经道歉够了。日本人对此问题的这种错觉将会影响新世纪中日两国关系的正常发展。

Meiwaku' , 'hansei' and 'ikan' in Japanese do not express the meaning of apology, and when the Japanese apologize on a formal occasion, ' owabi' and ' shazai' are used. Until now, the Japanese government has not apologized to the Chinese using 'owabi' or 'shazai' for its aggression against China by Japanese militarism. However, many Japanese people, even scholars, believe that the Japanese government has fully apologized. Such an illusion will seriously hinder bilateral relations between China and Japan in the new century.
