This article is consisted of three parts: first,it describes Cai yan's background of her family and her tragic experience in detail. Second,it discusses Cai yan's knowledge and her artistic achievement. Finally,it makes a penetrating analysis of the 'Beifen shi'(the poem of the grief and indignation).
