摘要
介绍了一种新型的主要由软件实现的数字录像监控系统 .该系统的编解码器部分 ,首次采用国际最新静止图像编码标准JPEG2 0 0 0作为其基本框架 ,从而使系统的视频特性得到显著的提高 .由于该标准采用了基于小波变换的图像编解码理论和符合人类视觉系统 (HVS)特性的系数量化方案等 ,所以消除了常规方法在压缩比较高的情况下通常出现的方块效应 ,从而能够在相同的主观和客观质量条件下 ,达到更高的压缩比 .计算机模拟实验说明 ,对于标准图像序列Carphone ,当压缩比达到 50倍时 。
A digital video monitoring system mainly real ized with software is int roduced. The international standard JPEG2000 is applied as the basic frame of th e encoding and decoding part of the system. Therefore, the video characteristic of the system is increased remarkably. This standard uses wavelet based coding t heory and coefficient quantization scheme, which is according with human vision system (HVS) and thus eliminates the blocking effect usually occurring under hig h compression ratio with conventional approaches. This makes it possible to achi eve high compression ratio under same subjective and objective quality. Simulati on on computers shows that the image quality is still acceptable when the compre ssion ratio is up to 50 for standard image sequence “Car phone”.
