英克尔斯“现代人研究”的方法论启示

Methodological Inspirations from Alex Inkeles' Study on “Becoming Modern

本文以英克尔斯等人的著名研究“从传统人到现代人”作为实例 ,从研究设计、概念测量、资料分析、结果陈述等不同方面 ,系统解读和分析了这一研究中所体现的科学精神。文章指出 :以逻辑性、严密性、现实性以及实事求是为主要特征的科学精神 ,是经验性社会研究的立命之本。认识并努力加强这种科学精神 。

Systematic interpretations and analyses are carried out to Alex Inkeles's well known study about the transformation from the traditional man to modern man in terms of research design, concept measuring and data analysis, to reveal the embodied spirit of science. We conclude that the spirit of science represented by logic, vigor, practicality and respect for the truth makes the very foundation of empirical social studies. To improve the quality and level of social studies, we must recognize and promote the spirit of science as such.
