Behind the practice, theories and methods of assessment of the talents, there is a tropism of modern psychology paradigm. The profound crises and frequently encountered problems in assessment practice and theories in the new era are mainly caused by the influences from paradigm of the modem psychology. The tension between scientific psychology and humanist psychology has existed since the birth of psychology. This tension, interacting with the post-modern culture thought, has composed the flow of paradigm conversion in psychology. The postmodern turn of psychology, as a sign of the fundamental reorientation and changes in contemporary assessment practice, theories and methods, has drawn increasingly more attention from assessment of talents, which makes it clear that the paradigm change in the field of assessment of talents will happen soon.
