The Position of Translation Theory in Translation Teaching

翻译理论与翻译实践的关系在我国翻译界已经讨论多年了，大家对此都有了相当的了解，然而，有的翻译教师至今仍认识不清，由于他们承担着大量的翻译教学任务，对后学产生很大的影响，如若对此问题存有模糊甚至错误的认识，就会影响翻译教学的内容、教法和研究等，因此，有必要讨论翻译理论与翻译实践的关系以及翻译理论在翻译教学中的地位。

The relationship between translation theory and translation practice has been discussed for many years in China's Mainland. Some teachers of translation, however, still have some false perceptions in this regard. As they teach a large number of students at the levels ranging from undergraduates to postgraduates, such false perceptions may affect adversely their teaching. Therefore, it is necessary to continue our discussion of the relationship between translation theory and translation practice in connection with the position of translation theory in translation teaching.
