Optical Culture and Contemporary Writers' Dilemma

电影、电视的出现和发展带来了20世纪的一次文化转型,即由文字纸媒文化转变为视觉文化。20世纪80年代中期以后的中国也日益加快了这一文化转型,由此导致了当代作家们的创作生成方式的改变,大批作家纷纷结缘影视,影视稿酬成为作家合法收入的重要来源,同时影视传媒成为作家出名的重要工具。但这种文化工业式的操作方式又使作家们陷入一种新的彷徨与两难境地。

The emergence of films and television brought about a cultural transformation in the 20th century, i.e.,from the written media culture to optical culture.China in the 1980s quickened its step of this transformation. Consequently,the composition style of contemporary writers changed,which led to a multitude of writers turning to films and television.The script fee for films and television has become a legal means for writers while films and television media become the important tool for writers to become famous.However,the industry-style operational mode makes writers plunge into a new bewilderment and dilemma.
