Approaching English Grammar from Chinese and Western Ways of Thinking

本文分析了思维和语言的关系 ,从中西思维模式的差异出发 ,结合大学英语语法 ,分析了中西思维对语法教学的影响。以使学生能在语法的学习中 ,渗透中西思维的理念 ,注意两种思维模式的差异 ,提高语法的学习效率 ,使语法真正成为培养学生跨文化交际能力的中介桥梁。

This paper analyzes the relation between ways of thinking and language. Based on the English grammar and the differences between Chinese and Western ways of thinking, the paper focuses on the effects in the English grammar caused by Chinese and Western ways of thinking. It is hoped that the analysis will make students aware of the differences so as to improve their grammar learning and make grammar become a bridge to intercultural communicative competence.
