The Internet is widespread in numerous fields and domains. It also carries great potential for educational use, specifically foreign language education. This paper will therefore focus on the relationship between the foreign language teaching and learning and the technology development, analyze the possibilities and benefits of the Internet being used in the foreign language classroom, and point out the significance of using the Internet in the foreign language teaching and learning activities.
