On the Negative Transfer of Chinese in College English Writing

英语写作历来是中国学生的薄弱环节 ,重要原因之一就是中国学生对英语的句法篇章规律缺乏了解 ,从而在英语写作中套用汉语思维模式。通过从词汇、句法、语篇三个层面对大学英语写作中的汉语母语负迁移现象进行分析 。

English Writing has ever been a headache for Chinese college students. One of the key reasons is that they are not familiar with the English writing rules, and therefore, they apply Chinese thinking pattern in English writing. This paper analyzes the phenomenon of Chinese negative transfer in college English writing from the levels of vocabulary, sentence and discourse. The aim is to pursue some efficient methods of improving college English writing.
