In this paper,the principles and characteristics of fiber Bragg grating sensor are presented.The research and applications of fiber Bragg grating sensor for bridge structure health monitoring at home and abroad are introduced,and some problems in the applications to be solved are discussed; finally,the prospect of fiber Bragg grating sensor in the field of bridge structure health monitoring is set forth.
