冷战的结束为美国学者研究中美关系带来了新的发展机遇。在研究内容上 ,无论是在历史研究领域 ,还是在问题研究领域 ,学者们都取得了十分显著的成果 ;在研究模式上 ,西方国际关系理论中的传统理论和批判理论都对其产生了一定的影响 ;其研究成果影响美国对华决策的方式也日渐多样化。综合、客观地看待这些情况 ,有助于我们全面了解美国对华决策的国内背景。

The end of the Cold War provides American scholars with new opportunities to conduct research on Sino-U.S.relations.In terms of content,researchers have made outstanding achievements in both historical and topical studies.In terms of methodology ,both traditional and critical theories of Western international relations have been comprehensively employed.Furthermore,the ways in which the research results influence the U.S.government's China policy have become diversified.A comprehensive and objective knowledge of these issues will enable us to fully understand the U.S.domestic background that shapes its policy toward China.
