Zhu Danxi’s argument of “An Excess of Yang with A Deficiency of Yin” was derived from the rationalistic Confucian philosophical school of The Song Dynasty and was a distinctive philosophical idea. His doubt about Tai Ping hui Min Ju Fang came from his clinical practice. His work Ge Zhi Yu Lun served as a link between past and future in the development of TCM. His academic thoughts and clinical experience is very practical even today, especially in health keeping of middle-aged and elderly people.
