Distinguishing Herba Menthae from Herba Menthae Spicatae

目的 :找出鉴定薄荷和留兰香的最佳方法。方法 :利用药材来源、药材性状、显微特征、理化鉴别等鉴别方法对薄荷和留兰香进行对比鉴别。结果 :找出了薄荷和留兰香在药材来源、药材性状、显微特征、理化反应等方面都有明显的差别。结论 :留兰香不能混充薄荷使用。

Objective: to find out the best method to distinguish Herba Menthae from Herba Menthae Spicatae. Method: making comparison by their origins, shapes and properties, microscopic characters and physical and chemical tests. Results: Herba Menthae is distinctively different from Herba Menthae Spicatae. Conclusion: Herba Menthae Spicatae cannot replace Herba Menthae. The two herbs should be used according to their respect properties.
