马克思主义文艺理论在当今中国的现状,同马克思的崇高声誉很不相称。要改善这一点,一方面需要从"合法性辩护"转向"合理性辩护",另一方面,需要把它同其它学派处于平等地位,敢于时时批判自己,否定自己;敢于冲破禁区,涉足理论研究前沿。人道主义和异化问题就是重要的前沿理论问题。

The present state of Marxist theory of art and literature in China does not match its lofty fame very much. In order to change this state, on the one hand, it is necessary to turn from 'lawful defense' to ' rational defense'; on the other hand, it is necessary to often put itself to the equal position with other schools, dare criticize itself and negate itself, break through forbidden area and go to the front of theoretic study. Humanitarianism and alienation are such questions.
