党中央之所以把代表最广大人民的根本利益作为"三个代表"的根本问题,是因为它体现了党的根本宗旨和党建的根本经验;揭示了原苏联解体的根本教训;提醒我党要高度重视解决现实生活中带根本性的问题。只有全面正确理解"代表最广大人民根本利益"的科学内涵和基本精神,作到执政为民,加强党的自身建设,才能实现代表最广大人民根本利益的崇高目标。

The reason why the CPC takes the representation of the maximum people's basic interest as the fundamental question is that it embodies the Party's fundamental purpose and the fundamental experience for the founding of the Party; reveals the basic lesson of the disintegration of the Ex-USSR and warns our Party to pay much attention to solving the basic question in the present life. Only the Party overall and correctly understands the scientific content and the basic spirit of 'representation of the maximum people's interest' and has acted holding political power for the people and strengthening the Party's self-establishment can it realize the lofty goal of the representation of the maximum people's fundamental interest.
