On the Two Economic Systems in Feudal Society

封建社会有两种经济体制,即封建领主经济体制和封建地主经济体制。中国进入封建社会以来,春秋战国之交是上述两种封建经济体制的转折点。中国的封建地主经济体制和欧洲封建领主经济在本质上存在着共性,但也存在差异。中国封建地主经济体制发展最为充分,在小农经济、一意性、中央集权制和宏观调控等方面具有一定的优势。

There are two economic systems in feudal society: feudal suzerain system and feudal lord system. The Spring and Autumn Period is the turning point of these two systems since China stepped into feudal society in Xi Zhou Dynasty. Similarities as well as differences exist between Chinese feudal lord economic system and European feudal suzerain economy, with the former taking lead in development, small-peasant economy, unifiedness, centralization of state power and certain amount of macro-economic control.
