爱民重民、民为邦本是中国文化的优良传统、是中国道德文化的重要组成部分。民本思想在中国历史上起了重要的作用，它直接构成马克思主义唯物史观在中国传播和被接受的“民族文化土壤”。中国共产党人批判地继承了民本思想的合理因素，形成了独具特色的群众路线，并使全心全意为人民服务成为共产主义道德基本规范。
Abstract ‘Of people', one of the fine traditons in Chinese culture and an important part of the Chinese traditional ethics is the ‘national cultural soil' on which Marxist materialism was accepted and disseminated.The Chinese communists critically inherited its rational elements and thus formed the unique ‘mass line' in China and made ‘serve the people wholeheartedly' the basic norm of the communist ethics.
