In this paper, poly[pyrrole-2,5-diyl(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl benzylidane)], whose structure is similar to ring-opening porphyrin, was synthesized. Then the adsorption performance of this polymer to Cu 2+and Mg 2+has been studied and the effects of adsorption time, temperature and pH value of the system on the quantity of adsorption were also discussed. The structure of polymer-metal complex was characterized by FT-IR spectroscope.
