Catalytic synthesis of cyclohexanone ethylene glycol ketal by iodine

摘要 The ketalization of cyclohexanone with ethylene glycol catalyzed by I2 was studied.The effects of reaction time,reactant ratio,catalyst amount and the amount of water-carrying agent on the yield of cyclohexanone ethylene glycol ketal was investigated.The results showed that the most suitable condition for the reaction were as follows:ethylene glyco:cyclohexanone molar ratio 1.2,molar ratio of catalyst to reactant 0.005%,cyclohexane as the water-carrying agent 6 ml,reaction time 30 min.The yield was up to 94.3%.
