论英语新文学研究的若干问题

Issues Concerning the Studies of New Literatures in English

英语新文学指加勒比海英语区和非母语英语(特别是第二语言型英语)使用者的英语文学创作。这种延续了一两百年的活动在最近半个多世纪变得尤其活跃。由于某些误解,中国学者对之注意甚少。本文分析了造成误解的原因,指出了开展这项工作的必要性,并且提出了研究的方法。

Generally found in the English-speaking Caribbean and in countries where English is used as a non-native but indispensable auxiliary language, new literatures in English have been in existence for almost two centuries and have experienced rapid development for over half a century. But Chinese scholars pay little attention to them due to some misunderstandings. The article tries to put an end to the situation by analyzing the reasons for the misunderstanding and demonstrating how important it is for China to make exploration in the field and what approaches we may take to begin with the work.
