A Brief Reporton of the Excavation at Anban site, Fufeng,Shaanxi

Anban sito is situated about 4 kilometers east to Fufeng County town,Shaanxi province.It is a very important site of the neolithic age in the west of Guan Zhong In order to cooperate the Highway construction,Bao Ji Archacological Team made rescue excavation to the Xia He Part of Jiang Fa Tang Highway in the scope of Anban site from August to October in 1997 It can be divided into 4 periods according to the objects uneaerthed and some signs The first phase should be the first phase of Anban Culture,Belong to Miao Di Gou Type of Yangshao Culture;The 2nd phase is equal to the 2nd type of Bao Ji Fu Lin Bao;The 3rd phase is equal to the 2nd phase of Anban,also is the late type of Banpo Culture;The 4th phase is equal to the 3rd phase of Anban,also is Miao Di Gou Cuture This excavation provides very important information undoubtedly not only for enriching the cultural extension of Anban site, but also for clarifying the alignment of this culture
