乐山小道士观摩崖造像

The Buddhist Cave-Temples of Xiaodaoshiguanmoya at Leshan

小道士观摩崖造像位于乐山市五通桥区桥沟镇南岷江西岸小道士观渡口 ,法人色伽兰在《中国西部考古记》认为是“四川北周时之造像独存者也” 。

The site of the Xiaodaoshiguanmoya (The Buddhist Sculptures carved at the Cliffside) is situated at the ferry of Xiaodaoguan on the east bank of The Minjiang River, Wutong Bridge Area, the south part of Qiaogou Town, Leshan County, Sichuan Province. In his book The Archaeological Records of the Western China, Mr. Victor Segaren recorded this site in 1914 and took it for granted that the site was the only Buddhist cave Temples which were dating from the Northern Zhou Dynasty (561-581 A.D.) exist in Sichuan Province. The author put forwards a view that the date of the site shall be round 8th-9 th Century at the period of the Mid-Tang to the Later-Tang Dynasty.
