创新能力是培养高层次外向型、复合型人才的保证——谈非英语专业研究生英语教学改革

On the reform of English language teaching for science postgraduates

加入了WTO的中国需要大批高层次外向型、复合型人才。为了实现高层次人才培养基本立足于国内这一战略目标,非英语专业研究生英语的教学改革已迫在眉睫。目前我国研究生英语教学中存在两个突出问题:一是教学环节问题,二是研究生综合素质问题。文章强调应突破单一英语教学模式,向多用型教学模式转轨;充分挖掘学生的潜力,赋予学生新的思维理念;把创新能力的培养处处体现在教学的各个环节之中。

Having joined the WTO, China is crying out for large quantities of high-leveled, versatile talents. In order to attain this strategic goal of fostering them in China, the English language teaching reform for science postgraduates is an extremely urgent task to be done. At present, there exist two important problems: teaching and comprehensive quality. This paper emphasizes breakthrough from the unitary to multiform teaching pattern, which lays stress on fully exploiting students' potentialities, entrusting them with new concept and fostering their innovation competence in all respects of teaching.
