The Silk Road of Tang Poetry

唐代内地和敦煌诗人以诗作记录下丝绸之路的方方面面,包括重大历史事件、绮丽多姿的风物习俗、悲苦欢乐的边地生活等,给后人留下一幅当日丝绸之路的生动画卷。

In the Tang Dynasty, there is close connection between Tang poetry and the Silk Road. The interior poets of the Tang Dynasty and Dun Huang poets had written a lot of poems on the Silk Road, which recorded the Silk Road's historical events, described the beautiful and grand scenery as well as the local conditions and customs of the deserts, and expressed poets' sympathy on the people of the west-northern border districts.
