The composition of the linear array CCD camera is described from the structure characteristic and operating priciple of CCD.Some primary matters which should be considered in design and application,such as the selection of CCDs,the determination of camera operating parameters and the selection of optical imaging objectives,are briefly explained.Finally,the application of CCD camera as a photoelectronic sensor in non-contact measurement, location and evaluation of the surface quality is illustrated.
