本文主要是研究殷墟甲骨卜辞中“单”字的意义 ,指出“单”相当于后世文献中的“里” ,是城市中的居民组织 ,凡是居住在“单”
The essay mainly researches the meaning of the character'Dan' in the inscription on oracle bones and points out that the meaning if 'Dan' is equal to 'Li' in the later documents . 'Li' is an organization of citizen in cities. All of the citizens who live in 'Dan' are the nobles and ruling class.
