The Psychological Status of "Word" in Contemporary Chinese as Evidenced from Speech Error Repairs

本文描述汉语口误修正的一般情况,特别区分“整体修正”和“局部修正”、“即时修正”和“延缓修正”,并在此基础上考察“词”在现代汉语中的心理地位。统计和分析表明,至少从言语表达的角度看,“词”在现代汉语中的心理地位要高于“语素”,至少不亚于“语素”。

The psychological reality of 'word' in Contemporary Chinese is examined from evi- dences of the repairs of the tongue-slips in Contemporary Chinese. Based on a division of total repair and local repair and a division of instant repair and delayed repair, the data analysis leads to the con- clusion that in the process of language production at least, the psychological status of 'word' in Con- temporary Chinese is higher or equal to that of 'morpheme'.
