The Time Spirit of the Cultures in the Qin and Han Dynasties

秦汉时期是中国历史上多民族统一的中央集权国家形成与巩固的重要阶段。与之相适应,这一时期的思想文化也呈现出崭新的特色,体现了独特的时代精神。概括地说,这种时代精神表现为:“大一统”理念作为秦汉文化的灵魂,贯穿于当时的思想文化建设的整个过程,确立了秦汉文化的价值取向与理想追求;阴阳五行思想作为秦汉文化的哲学基础,起着联系、沟通秦汉文化方方面面精神纽带的重要作用;而学术上的兼容博采、融会贯通,则成为秦汉文化得以顺利发展并创造辉煌成就的不竭动因及显著特征。

The cultures in this period represented new characteristics and uniqueness of time spirit. Generally speaking, the idea of'greatness and union' run through the whole process of cultural establishment, and decided on the values and ideals of the Qin and Han Dynasties.
