2, 2'-diethyl-4,5,4', 5'-bis (15-crown-5) selenocarbocyanine dye(5),2, 2'-diethyl-4,5-(15-crown-5)-selenocarbocyanine dye (6) and three new intermediates: 2, 2'-dinitro-4, 5,-4', 5',-bis (15-crown-5)-diphenyl diselenide (2), 2-methyl-5, 6-(15-crown-5) benzoselenazole(3) and 3-ethyl-2-methyl-5,6-(15-crown-5)-benzoselenazolium iodide (4) were synthesized.Their IR, UV, ~1H NMR. MS data were also reported.
