R^3C(CH_3)=NNHC(S)NHN=CR^4R^5(5-8) [R^3=η~5-C_5H_5FeC_5H_4-; R_4~4=CH_3, R^5=η~5-C_5H_5FeC_5H_4-; R^4=H, R^5=o-C_6H_4OH; R^4=CH_3, R^5=2-hydroxy-4-methylphenyl] have been synthesized by the condensation of appro-priate derivatives of ferrocene and thiocarbohydrazide or thiosemicarbazide in ethamol in thepresence of glacial acetic acid, All compounds have not been reported so far and their struc-tures have been confirmed by elemental analysis, ~1H NMR and IR. The reaction Conditionsfor the synthesis of these compounds are also discussed.
