Li Mi is an important historical figure in Nanzhao culture and in the study of Benzhu God worshiped by the Bais. Li Mi was involved in the political struggles between the Tang Imperial Court and the Local Nanzhao Kingdom and was a victim in a war between different ethnic groups in Chinese history. The worship of Li Mi as Benzhu God is a special representation of Bai culture, a study of which should be scientifically, historically and dialectically oriented.
