城市地下管道物流系统是一个十分新颖的概念 ,对社会的发展将具有重大影响和重要意义 ,已经引起了发达国家的重视。本文阐述了这一概念的具体内涵和管道物流的发展历史以及国外在该领域的研究现状 ,论证了发展该系统的必要性和技术上的可行性 。

Urban underground pipeline for physical dis tribution is a new idea, w hich has great significance and influence on the development of the society. It has attracted attention of the developed countries. In this paper, the connotati on of this idea is described, the history of development of pipeline physical di stribution and present situation of research in this field are expounded. The ne cessity and technical feasibility for development of such system are proven. The tentative idea for research in this field in China and the problems to be solve d at present is presented.
