桂馥文字学思想探析

Analysis to Gui Fu's Linguistic Thought

桂馥是中国古代著名的语言文字学家,是清代“说文四大家”之一,然而他的著作《说文解字义证》及其语言文字学思想一直为人忽略。《义证》卷四十九集中体现了桂馥的文字学思想,包括文字的起源,文字的作用,文、字、名、书的辨析,对六书的理解和认识,对汉字形体演变的认定等重要的中国古代文字学问题。本文试于丰富的义证中探析桂馥的文字学思想,以期填补中国古代语言文字学之空白。

Gui Fu is a famous ancient Chinese linguist.He is one of the″four famous experts in Shuo Wen(analyzing words)″in Qing dynasty,but few people have made research on Gui Fu's linguistic thought and his Shuo Wen Jie Zi (the earliest philological work in China to make a systematic study of words)Yi Zheng(explanation).Gui Fu's linguistic thought lies in the49th volume of Yi Zheng,includ-ing some important problems of Chinese ancient language,such as the origin and the function of the characters,the comprehension of six categories of Chinese characters,the evolution of the characters,etc.This paper analyzes Gui Fu's linguistic thought from the abundant illustrations and the writer wish-es it could help to fill up the blank of the Chinese ancient linguistics.
