英语中的聚合力产生于其中的同质性,同质性由根源于接近性的联想和英语规范的力量产生。导致聚合的力量主要在于聚力和斥力的对比,聚力的大小在于语言特征之间的联想强度的对比,联想强度最大的特征最易聚合。它具有认知价值、语言艺术产生的美学价值及言语心理和辩证法的研究价值。

The forces of cohesion in English is generated by homogeneity, which is rooted in association born of approximate and English grammar. Cohesion is caused mainly by the relative strength of forces of cohesion and segregation. The strength of forces of cohesion lies in relative strength of associations between language features. Those with strongest associations tending to cohere. The forces of cohesion in English are of value in cognitive, aesthetic, lingual-psychological, and dialectical aspects.
