A Study of Marx's Theory of Social Development ——from the Perspective of the Logic of Subjectivity and the Logic of Objectivity

马克思的历史辩证法的真理内核在于他把握住了人类社会历史发展的两个根本的逻辑──主体逻辑与客体逻辑。我们如要正确认识和揭示历史,就应把握住这两个逻辑,而不能把二者割裂开来。问题的关键不在于资本主义对生产力发展的推动作用上,而在于我们如何通过历史发展的主体逻辑认识资本主义对社会历史主体人自身的发展所起的作用,这正是被许多人忽视的问题。

Marx, in his historical dialectics, grasped two fundamental aspects of historical development, i.e., the logic of subjectivity and the logic of objectivity. We should grasp them, but not isolate them, if we want to understand history. It is important to know the contribution that capitalism has made to the development of productive forces. However, it is more important for us to understand how capitalism has influenced the shaping of humanity, which has been long neglected by many people.
