摘要
语境是关系到翻译成败的最为重要的因素之一。它制约和影响着词汇的意义和语言手段的选择,限制和促成言语活动的效果的产生。语境在英译中的过程中是具有一些规律性的。
This paper discusses the participation of context in the understanding of a discourse over translation and sums up its main function in five aspects. We intend to generalize some rules to serve the practice so as to make our translation more accurate, fluent and elegant.
