Harmony but difference' should serve as a new category for diplomatic study in focus. 'Harmony but difference' as strategic thinking of diplomacy, 'peaceful coexistence' as diplomatic principle, and 'seeking sameness but keeping difference' as diplomatic strategy, are in a logically coherent relationship. This guiding thought has directed and promoted China to deal with the diplomatic relationship with other countries in an appropriate way. No matter these countries are same or different in social system from China, this diplomatic thought has helped China to realize his diplomatic target, to protect peace in the world, and to promote synchronous development with these countries.
