On the Negative Sides in Zhu Ge-ling's Character

诸葛亮为蜀汉政权的建立立下的汗马功劳,众所周知。但其后半生中,在荆州局势决策错误,不识大局不自量力,用人不当,不善授权,不善培养人才,赏罚不平,拒谏等九方面的过失,使得蜀汉最先灭亡,可见蜀汉“成也诸葛,败也诸葛”。

It is well known that Zhu Ge-liang has contributed a lot to the establishment of Shu State. However,during the second half of his life,Zhu Ge-liang made mistakes in 9 aspects including wrong decistion making in Jinzhou,wrong analysis on situations overestimation of his own ability,using wrong generals,inability in granting power,inability in training potential talents,unfairness in rewards and punishment,refusal to listen to other's advice,etc.As a result,Shu became the first to fall to pieces among the three states,hence the conclusion:Shu State was“made by Zhu Ge-liang;and also lost by him”.
