丁玲的文学创作充满着一种深沉的妇女解放的忧患意识。它承担着历史留下的许多精神重担,承担着女性在特定时期生存的许多苦恼和时代的忧虑,表现了中国妇女求发展、求自由、求解放过程中的迷惘、焦灼与彷徨。但同时又体现出对社会的关心、对人生的热爱,包孕着抗争、呐喊、搏击的热情和追求,始终闪耀着妇女解放思想的光芒,至今仍有深刻的现实意义。

Ding's works are full of deep concerns and worries about the liberation of the Chinese women. She experienced the sufferings and troubles that the Chinese women suffered in the particular time of the history. She discribed the Chinese women who were perplexed, anxious and confused in the course of seeking development, freedom and liberation. She also expressed her care for the society and her love of life. Ding's writings were involved with her struggling, shouting, the enthusiasm and exeitement and shine for ever with their brilliance for the promotion of woman's liberation.
