From Mao Zedong Deng Xiaoping to Jiang Zeming: Historical Development of Socialist Construction Legal System

建设社会主义法治国家是一个历史的发展过程。毛泽东在中国革命和建设的实践中,密切联系中国法制建设的实际,对社会主义法制建设进行了艰辛的探索;邓小平在中国改革开放的实践中,认真总结我国过去法制建设的经验教训,探索并形成了建设有中国特色的社会主义法制思想;江泽民不断丰富和发展了毛泽东、邓小平的法制理论,提出依法治国和以德治国相结合的基本方略,对社会主义法治建设做出了新的贡献。

It is a historical course of development to built socialist state under the rule of law. With contacting the actual of Chinese legal system closely Mao Zedong had made his hardships to seek the socialist legal system in practice of Chinese revolution and construction. In the practice of reform and opening to outside world, Deng Xiaoping had generalized the experiences and lessons of legal system in the pass years seriously and formed the thought of socialist legal system with Chinese characteristic. Jiang Zeming has developed and enriched Mao zedong and Deng xiaoping' theories of legal system continuously and brought up the fundamental tactics of running the state according to law and running the state according to virtue with together. Therefore, the new contribution has been made to build a socialist state under the rule of law.
